At The Wordsearch Workshop, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This policy explains what information is collected when you use our site and tools, and how it's used.
1. Log files & browser storage
Like most websites, we use standard server log files that record visitor information such as IP address, browser type, ISP, and timestamps. This data isn't linked to anything personally identifiable.
Our puzzle tools use your browser's local storage only to pass your puzzle data between your own active windows while you work. No word lists or puzzle titles are sent to, or stored on, any server we control.
2. Google AdSense & advertising cookies
Disclosure regarding Google's advertising cookies:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's advertising cookies allow it to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Third-party ad networks may use their own cookies, JavaScript, or similar technologies to measure ad performance and personalize the ads you see. We have no access to or control over these third-party cookies.
3. Other third-party privacy policies
This policy doesn't apply to other advertisers or websites. We recommend checking the privacy policies of any third-party ad networks for details on their own practices and opt-out options. You can also manage or disable cookies through your browser's settings.
4. CCPA privacy rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to request deletion of their personal data and to opt out of the sale of personal data. We'll respond to any such request within one month.
5. GDPR data protection rights
If you're in the EU, you're entitled to the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability regarding your personal data.
6. Document exports
Printable puzzle and book layouts are generated entirely client-side, in your browser. No tracking is embedded in exported files.
